The staff of Electro-Optic Devices, Inc. has extensive experience and training in the design, prototype and manufacture of state-of-the-art electro-optic instruments for laser rangefinding, remote sensing and proximity sensing. Established in 1993, we specialize in the manufacture of modular components commonly found in electro-optic products, which include laser diode drivers, high-output IR emitters, low-noise optical receivers, wideband opto-electronics, high-resolution time interval chronometers and high-voltage power supplies.
We provide application assistance and custom design consultation for companies engaged in design and/or manufacturing of electro-optic products and subassemblies. Our components are implemented extensively in university research and are commonly found in police laser radar (LIDAR) and well known commercial and consumer products. E-O Devices has contributed in the development of many respectable Laser Rangefinder products used in Police LIDAR speed detection guns, handhelds, binoculars, rifle scopes and short range proximity sensing for law enforcement, military, hunting and other consumer applications.
We design multilayer rigid, flex and rigid-flex designs with STEP file generation to qualify a perfect fit into tight and complex mechanical design spacing specification. We have experience designing PCB's for small components like QFN, DFN and fine pitch BGA to minimize board realestate. E-O Devices also offers many different custom design and programming services and support with our products. This includes different ranging algorithms, communication standards and data format preferences.
From short range PIN photodetector to high voltage APDs with gain control, from range accuracies of ±1 yard down to ±1 inch, from short ranges of a few feet to long ranges beyond 1 mile, from single-range to multi-range measurements, from slow repetition rates (Hz) to high repetition rates (KHz), from start-to-stop chronometers to Advanced DSP systems, we have a broad knowledge and design experience in Laser Rangefinding applications. Our OEM PCB solutions, design consultation, product support throughout design development that continues during production life helps our customers keep their quality products competitive in the market.
